Privacy notice

Last updated 24 October 2026

Draft placeholder. This page is a starting outline, not legal advice, and will be reviewed before Atelr takes payments or stores client data online.

This notice explains what personal information Atelr collects through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We aim to collect as little as possible.

Who we are

Atelr makes software for interior designers. For questions about your data, email hello@atelr.co.uk. [Company name, registered address and ICO registration number to be added.]

What we collect

  • Your email address, if you join the waitlist, and which page you signed up from.
  • Basic server logs kept by our hosting provider (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure.

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Why we use it

We use your email only to tell you when Atelr is available and about the founding-studio offer. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by replying to any email or contacting us.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We use Cloudflare to host this site, store waitlist sign-ups and forward email sent to us. [Full list of sub-processors to be added.]

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist emails until launch plus 12 months, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever is sooner.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, and object to how we use it. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

The Atelr app

The current Mac app stores your projects, clients and suppliers on your own computer, and backs them up there once a day. We don't receive any of it.

A few features look things up online. When online postcode checks are on, postcodes are sent to postcodes.io. Finding suppliers sends the search area to OpenStreetMap, and road mileage sends the start and end points of a journey to the public OSRM routing server (router.project-osrm.org). Client names and other details are never sent. The app can export everything it holds about one client, or erase them, for data requests.

A separate notice and data processing agreement will cover the hosted version before it launches.
